So, earlier this month, I listed out some things of mine that were in the works. One of them was bringing back Tom Gibson (hopefully) full-time.

This past week, I've been sitting down to try to finish up the comic strip. However, I had a couple of schedule conflicts, including an unexpected family visit and (once again) tech and equipment failure. That said, I sadly wasn't able to complete the next installment by the end of today.

Nonetheless, there is slightly good news. This circumstance gave me a little more time to work on some fresh ideas to smoothly introduce the setting and characters featured. In that spirit, I'm currently ironing out a couple of details with the next comic (once I stepped back and took a break, it took me about 1 week to create the poses, backgrounds, and a rough inked version).

As such, this hopefully shouldn't take me more than another week to finish up. This time, I'm giving it a little more grace and wiggle-room to shoot for mid-June. As I'm typing, I'm already writing out the next comic in line that's meant to properly introduce two new characters. :)

GREETINGS!

Holy moly, it's been a hot minute since I last gave out an update. A lot has been going on for me in 2025, including some stuff that I'm working on, so I'll list them down below!

Tom Gibson Comics

Before I continue any further, I just want to extend a huge thank you to all of my friends and followers for not gutting and grilling me like a fish or sending a tactical airstrike upon my residence. The upcoming installment is arguably the most complex one I've had to do so far in terms of dynamic posing/composition.

With that out of the way, I just wanted to clarify that I have not given up on or abandoned my series. Is it a headache to finish? Absolutely. Do I love this project with all my soul? Again, absolutely (times infinity). I'm testing out new techniques to see if I can get this strip done and move on to new stories that I'd like to tell. Though a VERY far stretch, I'm shooting to finish this specific comic by the end of May this year.

In slightly other news, I've also been working on an unannounced TG project, including music nearing completion with the absolute mad-lad @ZaazNG (them gauldern Hogzillas...) at the helm! In addition, I've been training my skills at new techniques mostly on Instagram, and I'm certain that they'll be of big help with both the comics and the new project.

Long story short, I'm working hard to bring back the comics and the series as a whole, as well as introducing some fun new content. :)

The Hallucination

Originally an idea drafted for the 2021 NewGrounds Summer Jam, I've reworked the script to expand it from a 3 minute short to about 15 minutes in length, including more story potential, as well as character development. As of right now, I'm creating treatments for the script, and I've also got some vocal talent aboard including the talented @PadrePuerte, @Noves, and @MakeStuff! Because of the theme behind the short, I'm shooting to release it by Halloween '26.

Potential Website

I've already had a small website where I hosted TG-related content for years (albeit in an obscure manner), but I'm currently revamping the website to include a more fleshed-out interface, as well as snazzy bells and whistles. If plans come to fruition, I'm hoping to launch the new look within the year.

BOO, JUMPSCARE!

I know I've practically evaporated from this site most things considered. That said, I've returned with some rather exciting news.

If you notice, I haven't made a comic installment for over 2 years (depression can go dive off a waterfall), but that hopefully will change eventually. I started a little introduction arc back on Pico Day 2021 and it hasn't been touched since Tom Fulp's birthday in 2022. This is mostly because I dug myself in a deep hole and buried the shovel.

This month, I finally figured out a way to wrap up the storyline without really butchering the characters or universe: speedrun the episode. I'm planning on making an additional 6 comics, of which I plan on introducing at least 5 new characters. As I type, I have completed most of the layout artwork for the next set of comics and I'm currently doing character artwork. After which, will be mostly episodic installments (e.g. one-shot gags, much like the 2013 comics were like).

The plan is to release these before the end of the year. There isn't really a set schedule, because I feel like it gives me a little more time to make sure I'm satisfied with the results. Otherwise, I'm excited to show Tom and his friends' faces once more.

The Tom Gibson comics are starting to look up a bit!

The storyline for the introductory arc was tweaked a bit over the weekend to give a more natural and constructive greeting. As such, the comics are being slightly tweaked to achieve what we feel is best.

The comics will be released sporadically later on this year. Along the way, Anna and Samantha will also join the storyline, as well as several new characters that we trust you'll love!

Hello, NewGrounds.

I've come back from the pits of depression to bring about some news. After a much needed mental break, I developed on the cliffhanger that was 2021-22's comic strip story arc. In addition, I've finally gotten the inspiration to create several more one-shot comic strips.

And furthermore, I've brought on a few people to help make sure that the comics don't vanish for a third time, so the comics will be in good hands.

The comics should resume every Sunday, beginning on March 31, posting on this account, as well as on @JuicyMelonEnt.

Hello, there. If you read the title to this message, that means I'm pausing with uploading comics on NG.

Now, make no mistake, this is NOT a farewell. Lately, I've been dealing with a lot of trauma and it's slowed down my ability to make comics since the beginning. I won't get into too much detail with it, but I don't want to constantly say "Hey, it's back for good!" when it's actually not going to be for another few months just for one comic strip.

That said, I'm going to pause uploads for now until I can get enough strips produced ahead of time in good quality rather than just spitting out something half-baked, along with getting my health back in order.

Once again, "Tom Gibson" returns to it's bi-weekly schedule beginning with it's new installment release on December 10. The story continues the story of Tom, Henry, Emily, and Zack discovering their new school and on New Year's Eve, they'll meet some new soon-to-be friends!
